The History of "l'atelier Coquelicot"
L’atelier Coquelicot is a small graphic arts workshop that was established in 2017 because we felt inspired to create beautiful things and share them with you. We derive our inspiration from the city, from its inhabitants and its architecture, from its scents and colours—a sense of exuberance that stimulates us a little more each day.
Our designs are created in the Plateau-Mont- Royal and resemble who we are: simple and unembellished, but filled with details to discover. We encourage local purchasing and work with Montreal-based suppliers.
As trained graphic artists who are more "old school," we like to produce on paper. There’s something about this vegetable fiber, the way ink slides across and leaves an image; it allows us to develop our own creative fiber through travel journals that are both practical and pretty, posters that you can hang up at home or offer to a friend, postcards to send to those you love, place mats to spruce up dinner, and much more…
We’re also open to new technologies and—to help simplify things—a large variety of our products can be downloaded online in different formats. Print them out on your printer at home or at a copy centre nearby. Ideal for last minute gifts or to avoid delivery fees.
Our children’s section also offers personalized decorative products, perfect for putting smiles on the faces of little loved ones and their parents.
Our products are available online and our studio is reachable by appointment.
